Ruud van Nistelrooy wants to return to the role of assistant manager for the rest of his contract

Manchester United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirm. He would be open to returning to the role of assistant manager if the club gets a new boss and is keen to see out his current deal.

”I’m here to help the club move forward. I’m still very motivate to do that. Whether as an assistant or now as a caretaker manager and then (when a new manager is in place). I’ll go back and finish out the rest of my contract as an assistant. I’m very motivate to stay here and help the club move forward.”
For Van Nistelrooy, the team is preparing to host Chelsea in the English Premier League on Sunday, November 3rd.
Previously, he led the Red Devils to a 5-2 home win over Leicester in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Ruud is contract to United until the summer of 2026. Several British media outlets have reported that he will be in charge of the team for another three matches with Chelsea (home, Premier League), PAOK (home, Europa League) and Leicester City (home, Premier League) before Ruben Amorim starts work during the international break in November.
